Dave is "the" expert on basements. Dave came out to my daughter's house to look at the basement and quickly diagnosed the problems, the causes, and realistic solutions. Dave knows basements. A year after purchasing our resale home, we discovered water coming into our basement which had not been disclosed on the seller's statement. After pulling up the carpet, we could tell it was a continuing problem as the tack strip was rotted. Spohr's Landscaping was recommended by our plumber, so we had Dave come over to diagnose the problem. He discovered where it had been repaired and explained the solution to fix it permanently and gave us a bid. The job was done in our time frame and for the amount bid even though more work had to be done than originally thought was needed. Good personal communication and getting to the root of the problem! Dave helped us out of a leaky situation with our foundation and water getting into the basement. Dave also personally came over a few times and took us through the project prior to and after the job as a follow up consultation. We were pleased with his personal communication and friendly, professional demeanor. We recommend Spohr's to fix your actual problem and get to the root of the problem rather than simply patching things up or installing any expensive equipment. Spohr's has the knowledge and experience to get the problem solved correctly. It might not be a pretty situation, but Spohr's diagnosis of the problem works and also helped save us money in the long run. We recommend starting with these guys first over other services that are in the market to sell you just a lot of fancy stuff that will cost you literally thousands for problems that don't really exist (trust us, we sat through consultations and got quotes from the "other guys"). We even learned a lot about "where the water goes" in our consultation with Dave. In 2014 you fixed a terrible water problem we had in the basement. In August 2018 a small amount of water started coming in near where the previous work was done. The same morning I called to report the issue Dave Spohr came out to my house. Even though the new leak was not related to the previous issue, I was not charged a service fee. The new problem was repaired within a week of my calling. I will continue to recommend Spohr’s for any kind of foundation problems.

We had patches done only to fail and watched other neighbors spend money on fixes that didn't really fix it, more like a band-aid. We called Dave Spohr and we are so glad we did!
